I knew that when I got back home not much would be different. Nothing has blown over. Now it's October. And what I think about come Fall is how little you've changed. I feel so much older and colder and stronger. And you looked right at home at the stage side dancing like you had nothing to hide. I can't shake the image from my mind. And when I need to feel better I stare at the Jordan River. Look for water pennies in the mud. When the rocks are stacked high I know that I will have good luck.
Toronto rivals San Francisco as the North American capital of jangle pop as evidenced by this new record of sunny jams from the Motorists. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
I am pretty sure I love this album because of lines like this:
"Time cast a spell on you and you will forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I will follow you down ’til the sound of my voice still haunts you
You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you" . Somehow they hit really hard, even though the instrumentation is coercing you to sway back and forth in a positive form. quiet_calm_deceased
